Last Friday both graduate and undergraduate student managed funds students visited State Street trading floor. It was a great experience for the students and they were pleased with the visit. We had a briefing session with Nicholas Bonn President of State Street Global Markets, the topics varied from discussion on State Street diverse divisions to his journey to current position. Then the students got a chance to tour the actual trading floor Itself where transactions worth billions were running live. As is was a Friday evening, market was pretty slow which gave us the opportunity to talk with Wealth management department, security lending department and also money market department trading managers. The host were very friendly and even gave the students suggestion on what are the Ideal qualities for a trader. Finally, we end our trip at state street and spent the rest of evening at local restaurant.
